The Long-Acting therapeutics Patents and Licences database LAPaL is a free online
collaborative repository for long-acting therapeutics with potential impact for global
health. It provides information on a selection of long-acting technologies and compounds,
including an overview of their intellectual property landscape, main clinical trials and
regulatory approvals. LAPaL aims to facilitate collaborations in the long-acting space and
advocate for access to long-acting (LA) therapeutics.
LAPaL is coordinated by the Medicines Patent Pool, in close
collaboration with University of Liverpool’s
Center of Excellence for Long-acting Therapeutics (CELT). The project is
supported by Unitaid and by the NIH throught the LEAP program.
The platform was built by MobileThinking
in Geneva.
